Major Research Achievements
Based on pharmacophylogenetic study, our group found the genus Ypsilandra was a new rich resource of pennogenin saponins and their extracts showed significant hemostatic and uterine contractility activities. The main active constituents have been obtained. Total steroidal saponins from Ypsilandra thibetica for the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) are undergoing the preclinical trial...
