We are offering several staff positions including one research associate, two research assistants, and two postdoc positions. The associate and assistants positions are tenured in CAS. The successful applicants will be expected to take primary responsibility for investigating the molecular mechanisms of how plants adapt to environmental conditions including biotic and abiotic stresses by using up-to-date molecular, genetics, and high-throughput methods (for detailed information about the projects please contact with Dr. Hu).

The applicants should have excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational abilities. In addition to a strong interest in molecular biology, the candidates are required to have proven skills in genetics and evolution, or genetics and next-generation data analysis, or microbiology, as evidenced by a track record of high-quality publications in their respective fields. Experiences in Arabidopsis or rice, chromatin-, or non-coding RNAs, or confocal microscopy will be a plus for the application.

The successful applicants are expected to supervise undergraduates working on the same project, present research achievement in national and international conferences, and take the lead role in the data analysis and background research required for timely publication of research results. Salary plus benefits are available for three years for the research associate and assistants, and two years for the postdoc positions with the possibility of extending to one more year, contingent on funding and satisfactory performance.
