We study the phylogenetics, evolution and biogeography of some selected taxa in China and adjacent regions (e.g. Pedicularis L. and related genera in Orobanchaceae, the tribe Gaultherieae and the genus Vaccinium L. in Ericaceae, and the order Cucurbitales), to reveal their species diversity, evolutionary relationships and adaptations to particular environments.
