     MAIN RESEARCH:

Plant Taxonomy and Biogegoraphy, mainly focus on Alpine flora origin, adaption and biogeography; The Plants of Sino-himalayan Region(Origin and dispersal of Sino-himalaya Elements); Flora of Yunnan (some groups of Papilionaceae) and wild edible plants.

FIELD WORK

Expedition to Qinghai-Tibet Plateau;Himalayas (Tibet), from E himalayas to W. himalayas, especially to Tsangpo Big Bend Gorge (Upper reach of Bramabutra), SE Tibet, and SW China(Yunnan,Sichuan and Guizhou). N. Thailand. Laos, Uzbekistan, Georigia, Indonesia. Total plant specimens collection more than 20,000 numbers.
